Greater Michigan Realty's owners and licensed realtors believe fully in the free enterprise system that has allowed this country to flourish. This belief demands that we encourage and support homeowners who wish to exercise their rights to represent themselves and offering their homes for sale. As well as offer traditional full service real estate services for a discounted commission.

Our Story

We lived in a beautiful house in a wonderful neighborhood. Unfortunately, it was 40 minutes one way drive from our church, schools, doctors and the family activities. Many families would drive through our neighborhood every weekend watching for 1 of the 165 houses to go for sale. With that kind of traffic, why would we hire and pay a realtor 3% to "advertise" our house? We felt the realtor would put us in the MLS and wait for the people to come. This service was hardly worth 3%. See, we really did not need a full service realtor, we needed MLS and Realtor.com exposure.

We started looking around the internet and found a national advertising company. We signed up. The broker contacted us and it was a disaster! I was so frustrated. I called and asked for the owner. I discussed my frustrations. He suggested that my wife open a real estate company and be his Michigan broker. So we did.

That was in September 2003 and within 6 months we have become the largest Flat Fee company in Michigan. Many thanks to all of our customers and their referrals. We also thank all of our national advertising partners who entrust their customers to our dedicated company everyday. Lastly, a special thank you to the owners of that single national advertising company whom had faith in us from the very beginning.

It is our intention to aid homeowners in their endeavors by enlarging their potential buying public from the few drive-by buyers and the few hundred newspaper advertising readers to the unlimited numbers of people now using the internet to search for, look at and ultimately buy homes across the country.
